Since I was a child, My favorite pastime always been reading about some truly unforgettable stories and worlds, from the magical, gritty, surreal landscapes of Dorohedoro to the dark, medieval fantasy of Berserk, the hilarious high-seas epic of One Piece, to the stunning, emotional storytelling of Arcane. These are a few of the series that has left its own unique mark on me, sparking my imagination and deepening my love for anime, as well as fueling my passion for cosplay.

Recently, I have had the pleasure of attending events like DoKomi at the Berlin Messe. There’s something special about being in a space filled with people who you share a passion with, all of us expressing our love for these worlds and stories through incredible costumes, art, and community. Walking around DoKomi, surrounded by people dressed as their favorite characters, is a blast. It’s a lot like stepping into a another world.

I’ve gotten excited to dive into new series across every genre, exploring the different unique art styles, storytelling and worlds that anime has to offer. From classic mecha to slice-of-life, psychological thrillers to fantasy adventures, I love them all. Each genre brings something fresh, and each art style offers a new way of experiencing these stories. It’s inspiring to see how different creators bring their visions to life, It makes me excited to experience as many stories as I can. Each series, no matter the genre, feels like an invitation to a whole new world, and I can’t wait to explore that world, both as a fan and as a cosplayer.
